Experience working with special education students in an individual, small, and/or large group setting preferred. Tutor will accompany student(s) to all classes to assist with needs (i.e. walking to classes safely, engaging in activities, guiding visually impaired student) Tutor may also be requested to collect data, give input on team interventions, and provide support to help student build academic, communication and social skills. Being able to collaborate and communicate with others is a must. Previous experience working as a paraprofessional aide in a public school preferred but not required. Must be available to work starting immediately and only after DOE requirements and paperwork have been completed and approved (background check, finger printing, etc.)
Hours and Pay:
Must be available to work between the hours of 7:45am-11:45am (Monday –Friday) Work schedule is negotiable This is a part-time position with a maximum of 19 hours a week with no insurance benefits.

Radford High School looking for a few college students to serve as tutors in their AVID Program. The hours would be Tuesday and Thursday, 8:10am - 11:05am. There may be the opportunity to work hours beyond 11:05am or on other days. Tutors will work between 10-17 hours per week. The pay is around $12.34/hour.
