Leeward’s Teacher Education program faculty and staff will present a free information session on Wednesday, 5/6/15 to explain these degree and certificte programs and answer any questions you may still have. The session will be from 5:30pm to 7:00pm, in ED 104 at the Leeward CC's Pearl City campus.
The information session is open to the general public. Attendees will learn more about the degrees and certificates, and meet some of the instructors, counselor, academic coach, and students enrolled in the program. Leeward Community College’s AAT degree offers a solid liberal arts core and specific education classes that prepares students as entry-level educators or to transfer to a 4-year teacher education program. The program has articulations in place with UH Mānoa, UH West O`ahu, Chaminade University, and University of Phoenix.

Leeward will be hosting a series of workshops specifically tailored to improving your technology know-how. This year they have added on a "teacher-track" which will highlight tech apps and devices that can enhance your classroom instruction! You can also attend workshops just to increase your own personal knowledge...from digital cameras to drones to ipad movie makers, this free day of professional development is priceless.
